PROJECT – Symphony of Light

Work 1: Luminous Flowsi

Rendering (visual representation of the result)

James Turrell’s Aten Reign is a large-scale immersive installation that uses light and color to create a serene, dreamlike space. The light produces a similar immersive experience through the changing colors of optical fibers, making the viewer feel surrounded by a sea of light. This work generates dynamic effects of light and shadow through the optical fibers, allowing the audience to perceive the flow of light and the transformation of space.

Work 1: Luminous Flowsi

Production Process

Materials: Optical fiber, frame, spotlight

Optical fibers are used to transmit multiple colors of light, creating a fluid, interwoven light effect that produces a dynamic visual experience. The fibers extend from the large frame and fill the entire space, making the audience feel as if they are in a sea of light. Light flows around the viewer, and their shadow interacts with it, enhancing the sense of immersion and participation. The work features a massive frame with richly colored optical fibers extending both inside and outside the frame, and the light flowing through the fibers creates a sense of movement and spatial depth.

Work 2: Dreams in the Net

Rendering (visual representation of the result)

Inspiration:

Dan Flavin’s fluorescent light installations are luminous works of geometric beauty created with simple fluorescent tubes. Using a dotted and radiating light grid, Dreams in the Net creates a delicate interplay of light and shadow that pays homage to Dan Flavin’s minimalist light art while adding a technological effect of matrix-style projection. This work forms a subtle grid of light in which the viewer feels immersed in a dreamlike world of luminous grids.

Work 2: Dreams in the Net

Thanks to the LED light source and the matrix-style projection, light radiates from the center of the frame in all directions, forming an exquisite grid structure of rich and shifting colors. The light is projected onto the wall, creating an expansive interplay of light and shadow, while the matrix pattern enhances the depth and three-dimensional perception of the space. The viewer walks surrounded by light and shadow, and the changing illumination makes every step a unique visual experience. At the center of the work is a massive luminous frame, from which light radiates in all directions, forming a symmetrical light grid. The light projected onto the wall creates a rich effect of light and shadow, and the matrix pattern on the wall echoes the light within the frame.

Work 3: Radiant Attraction

rendering(rappresentazione visiva del risultato)

Olafur Eliasson’s The Weather Project presents a massive solar installation in the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern, creating an extraordinary visual effect through light and reflections. Radiant Attraction offers an equally striking visual experience by emitting colored light through the central frame, allowing viewers to perceive the stunning effect of radiance.
